Ideas, images and exploration, guide me into my creative space.  I began on the potters'  wheel and have curiously moved into other mediums for the task at hand, metal, glass, fabric, cement, paint……

Unknown territory is exciting to me as I spend energy researching and imagining what and how to produce in different mediums. The process usually takes over and I am on a journey that allows ' AHA ' moments along the way.  I find new mentors and resources that makes my process of creating art rich as I gain insight into the wisdom and experience of others.

Because process is so much of the journey, I teach painting for process and enjoy that as much as creating my own work. My students teach me as much as I do them.

Whether I am teaching, working on a commission for a personal gift, or a piece of public art, I am in gratitude that I have given myself permission to be an artist.
