Julia Carter

Julia Carter’s paintings are no less than visual kaleidoscopes. To experience her work is to be assured that beyond the world of adult-ism life is a bounteous cornucopia with luscious moments to drool over and savor. Her artistic muse mixed with vibrant visual mementos trigger the mind to rejoice in the simple pleasures around us.  Helen Keller said with such wisdom:  “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it”.  This philosophy becomes concrete in Julia's paintings.

One might accurately say that to experience her paintings, one had to follow her to the theatre of  the “wildly” fun, but then again, that is not all bad. You cannot help but appreciate the small, telling dramas of not-so-ordinary life portrayed with a luminous imagination.
