With May well underway and June fast approaching, we are all subtly reminded why Vero Beach is every artist's dream. The days grow longer, and the sunsets ever bolder. The cricket's song floats on the sticky evening air, compelling the dragonflies to dance and the lovebugs to, well, love. Summer in Vero brings about a color pallet like no other. The ocean sheds its dark, winter hue, welcoming in shades so light and becoming, they toss the sun all across the sand. The afternoon sky melts into pinks and oranges so wild and vibrant, you can see slack-jawed pedestrians on the Barber Bridge halting, mid-run, to bask in its beauty.
Summer in Vero calls to the artist in each one of us. Be it through acrylics or oils, camera lenses or ceramics, we at Tiger Lily seek to harness this magic in our own work. The inspiration that comes from Vero's unpredictable color scheme is all but boundless, and, conveniently, accessible to all who are lucky enough to witness it.
If you are feeling uninspired in your art this Summer season, remember to just take a moment to look around you, and soak it in. Keep your paints ready and your camera battery charged, ready to capture any moment.
